Punishment.

Why do we feel we have to be punished,
for something we have no explanation for.
Why is it that of all time we need to feel
a pain deep to the core.
Are we so bad that we can't be helped,
no matter what we they say.
Is it that in the time we hurt,
we cannot even pray.

How many of us are out there,
who feel a hate so deep.
Not for someone else but just for you,
and you only want to sleep.
The nightmares that are always there,
they never seem to stop.
It makes you so tired, and so confused,
that you just start to cut yourself up.

When will this pain then ever stop,
this urge which is so strong.
Can nothing help this destruction then,
and tell us what is wrong.
Are we then loosing everything,
with nothing to be gain.
Or is it that we have to punished,
in order to shed all this pain.
